Back in 2006, a group of angry young comic book nerds started a podcast with the focus of highlighting which comics that released that week were the must-read books but as the show grew in popular, it expanded into a show about video games, movies, television, comics, and everything else in between. Just remember one thing: We don't talk. We argue!

Things That Happened The Week Of 1/17/2016

Hello and welcome to the ‘Things that happened the week of” the 1/17/2016 edition.

It’s been kind of a downer week with the back to back deaths of David Bowie and Alan Rickman and yes it’s basically impossible to come back from those gut punches but that doesn’t mean some cool stuff didn’t happen.

Ryan Coogler fresh off of Creed was confirmed for Black Panther and the two trailers for 10 Cloverfield Lane and The Witch both excite. We heard that Netflix is seriously considering a Punisher spinoff which I guess spoilers, he lives. On the games front The Division media tour is starting up and looks…. good? Marvel FINALLY finished off Secret Wars in a satisfying end to a grossly delayed book and now lays it on thick with Civil War 2 hype.

There’s a whoooole lot more of that down below. Enjoy!
