Check out the All-New ANTiFanboy Podcast
Back in 2006, a group of angry young comic book nerds started a podcast with the focus of highlighting which comics that released that week were the must-read books but as the show grew in popular, it expanded into a show about video games, movies, television, comics, and everything else in between. Just remember one thing: We don't talk. We argue!

The New Logan Trailer Gets A Little Meta

The new Logan trailer has come out and it’s just enough to make me excited but I don’t want to see anymore. If we are doing power rankings, I think this trailer doesn’t hit as hard as the first and the scene in the very beginning feels rushed but aside from that, I’m still digging everything this trailer is throwing at me. We get a better look at the Ravagers, the cybernetic mutant hunters that seemed hell-bent on chasing down the little girl that has fallen under Logan’s care. We have further proof that she’s based off the comic counterpart X-23 who herself is a female clone of Wolverine. Who knows how close the film counterpart will be to the source material, maybe she’s just a mutant with similar abilities to Logan. She does look like she’s sporting the same metal claws however, which means experimentation.

An odd bit is when Logan finds out that the girl is “an X-Men fan” and in the world, eventually comics were made about the teams exploits. Generally I’m not a fan, and toy versions of these characters are as far as I’ll stomach when it comes to self-references, It just seems weird to make up a bunch of stories about people’s lives and publish them for money no?

The official blurb:

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border.

But Logan’s attempt to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

The movie has great buzz around it and March 3rd can’t come soon enough. So please, no more revealing trailers.
