Check out the All-New ANTiFanboy Podcast
Back in 2006, a group of angry young comic book nerds started a podcast with the focus of highlighting which comics that released that week were the must-read books but as the show grew in popular, it expanded into a show about video games, movies, television, comics, and everything else in between. Just remember one thing: We don't talk. We argue!

ANTiFanfix: Batman Eternal #47 “Review”

This week in Batman Eternal, the least surprising thing has happened.  Thank god I cropped the cover so it doesn’t spoil it or anything.

A Short Story

I knew I should have made a bigger stink about Hush’s prison cell being in the Batcave, in full eyesight and earshot of everything. It was guaranteed that he would escape, there’s nothing surprising or interesting there.  Tuesday night, I had the worst feeling that he was going to break out.  Lo and behold the cover, and spoilers: He does.  Uuuuuuuuuuuuuugh. 5 issues left? They can’t come fast enough.

No probs here. Just totes adorbs.

Fun Parts

  • Victor doesn’t give a fuck. While everyone else is trying to attack Gotham City, he’s just chillin’. He is! And look at that adorable ice puppy
  • Julia and Selina have a little round of slapsies, with their boots
  • Jason Todd vs Mecha-Bane? You have my attention for next issue
He's already juicing, who cares if he's part mech now?

Stupid Parts

  • Hopefully Batwing seeming like he will stop Scarecrow right away turns into something more interesting than him stopping Scarecrow right away, because that would be really boring
  • Being the techno wizard she is, you’d think Harper’s turret wouldn’t be deactivated so easily by her brother
  • I thought for sure the luchadores in this issue were going to reintroduce that awesome South American Batman. Remember the Batmans of the world? That would have been a cool thing to have more than twice in Batman Eternal and then abandon

Verbatim Quote of The Week

Tim. Stahp. You don't sound smart at all, you sound like a stupid-ass.

Important Parts

  • Hush escapes of course, cause someone freed him from inside Arkham Manor apparently.  Who needs solid answers in an issue of anything. He ties up Alfred and shoots Julia out of an escape pod
  • The Batkids: Batwing, Red Robin, Batgirl, and Red Todd go take care of individual villains
  • Batman’s plane crashed when he tried to get back to Gotham
It's all about legacies the past fre days? More like the whole series, but who's keeping score?

Valid question: Out of all the villains, who started a city-wide fire? Not that I care. I’m sure in two issues they won’t even acknowledged a fire even happened, so why worry?
