Back during the stone age of the Internet before everyone and their aspiring comedian sidekick had a podcast, I scoured iTunes looking for comic book discussions. Some were full of old men talking about how great the silver age was, some were way too far up their own ass, and more than a few were just downright terrible.
When I stumbled upon a podcast discussing how the Punisher’s dick probably explodes into millions of tiny dicks, I knew I had struck gold and my relationship with ANTiFanboy began.
Back then they used to pick comics every week to discuss, and it being the era of civil war and infinite crisis there was a lot to talk about.
These days comics and podcasts are an entirely different beast, but I can’t help asking the ANTiFanboys to periodically return to what they do best: argue about comics.
Inspired by a certain overhyped one-shot featuring a certain archer and a certain dog named after a certain Italian food, we decided to make each other read our favorite one-shots and vote to see which is the best.
Knives were drawn, blood was spilled, I’m pretty sure Devon died and came back crying bitterly over the lack of UFC in hell, and in the end here’s what we came up with. Our top five one-shot comics.
