Check out the All-New ANTiFanboy Podcast
Back in 2006, a group of angry young comic book nerds started a podcast with the focus of highlighting which comics that released that week were the must-read books but as the show grew in popular, it expanded into a show about video games, movies, television, comics, and everything else in between. Just remember one thing: We don't talk. We argue!

Steve-O’s ANTiFanny Nominations for 2009

2009: This sums it up. Art by Stin

2009. This was kinda an unexpectedly awesome year for me. There were a lot of great movies, games, and comics. Let’s jump right into it and go for the JUGGS.

Best Film of 2009

This one is a toughie. I loved a ton of films this year. Star Trek, Moon, Up, Ninja Assassins, (500) Days of Summer and Zombieland are a few that stick out in my mind as amazing films of the year but I think I have to pick Inglorious Basterds as my Film of the Year. Sure it wasn’t perfect and I was juggling between this, Moon, & Up but when you take away one thing from each of those films, “Sam Rockwell is a ninja assassin amazing“, “Remember the past fondly and don’t dwell or you’ll never be able to make new adventures“, or “Fuck Nazis“, You just can’t argue with the logic of “Fuck Nazis.”

Game of the Year 2009

Batman: Arkham Asylum. Did you expect anything less?

Comic Arc of the Year 2009

While I did dig the shit out of Blackest Night and I also loved Grant’s Batman & Robin, I just got to go with Neil Gaiman’s Batman: Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader. If Batman ever did die(Cause he isn’t dead. He’s time lost.), This is the perfect send off. Lines from this book stick with me and sometimes when I go to bed I catch myself saying “Goodnight Batsignal” when I turn off my desk lamp.

So this was a quick little pick through my brain. Well, I hope you all enjoyed my fake award ceremony and now I’m going to go have a friar’s roast for my cat…
